Wagner RosárioMinister of Transparency and Comptroller General of Brazil (CGU)
A graduate in Military Science from Academia de Agulhas Negras and Master in Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law from the University of Salamanca, Spain, he previously served as an Army Officer. Born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Wagner Rosario is 41 years old and has been a Federal Finance and Control Auditor since 2009. He became the first career servant at CGU to assume the position of Executive Secretary and Minister of the agency. In the internal control body of the Federal Government, he also worked in the area of Special Operations, responsible for joint anti-corruption investigations in conjunction with the Federal Police, public prosecution services (federal and state), and other government defense agencies. We wrote papers such as the thesis “O papel do controle interno na luta contra a corrupção, com ênfase na investigação conjunta desenvolvida no Brasil e na Espanha”, published in 2016.
